Freelance writer Square Sparrow lives on a rambling smallholding in rural Scotland with her husband (HunterGatherer) and, now and then, their three offspring. Other smallholding incumbents include one overly indulged feline called FatCat, a similarly rotund Highland pony called FatHorse, plus a flock of rather attractive Shetland sheep – known affectionately as the Chocolate Sheep because of their rich assortment of wool colours (and because of Square Sparrow’s passion for chocolate).

More photos! First one is of our poor ailing polytunnel :-( The second shows HunterGatherer's raised veggie beds - his Sunday endeavours while the rest of us were Jubilee-ing!
What a sad polytunnel. How frustrating that must be! I do like the raised beds though. I have only one bed at the back of the house where a few strawberries and a couple of pea rows are.
Never mind. When and if summer comes and stays I can put the courgettes and pumpkins out from the summerhouse. Maybe!
A very nice looking plot. Is that the house in the background beyond the compost bin?
